What to Expect From Small Community
Coaching
1 / New Understanding
Each week your coach will introduce a specific executive function topic, and how it impacts behavior and our daily lives. We will talk through the misunderstandings related to this executive function and the struggles it can cause.
2 / Collaborative Support
We will engage in group reflection, sharing experiences, perspectives, struggles, and strengths. We will co-create a toolkit of systems and strategies together to intentionally reinforce and develop the executive function skill.
3 / Group Customization
At the end of each session, team members will then vote on next week's executive function topic and share the specific thing they want to address related to that topic, customizing the sessions to the needs of the group.

Founder & Lead Coach
Hello! My Name is Brittany Miller
My journey to this work is deeply personal. As a woman with ADHD who went undiagnosed until adulthood, I spent much of my childhood & adolescence struggling with executive functions and it impacted every aspect of my life.
My experience with the frustration, the shame, and the ultimate clarity is what drives my passion today. As a mother of 2 young daughters, I want to shift the narrative on how we understand ourselves and the behavior of our children and those around us from misunderstanding the struggles to addressing the root causes, with strategies that grow the brain, enhance our relationships, equip us for self-advocacy, and improve our mental wellbeing.
Prior to launching DLA, I was a Research Scholar for 12 years at NC State University developing and facilitating professional development, coaching and online courses for educators, leaders and parents on the topics of executive function, self regulation, and learner agency & independence in districts across North Carolina and reached over 40,000 individuals worldwide.
All my personal and professional experience has given me a unique perspective on how to create a compassionate, strengths-based approach to learning and development in childhood, adolescence & adulthood. Informed by research, and grounded in reality.
As a coach, my goal is to empower you, helping you move from a place of frustration to one of confidence, independence, and agency.
