We expect all attendees to contribute to a positive atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable sharing and learning. Please engage with each other and with facilitators with kindness. Individuals who choose to be disruptive will be asked to leave or barred from future services.
Photography & Videography
We may take photos or short videos during our workshops to share on our website, social media, or other promotional materials. Your registration serves as consent to be included, but your privacy is our priority. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please just let us know at the start of the workshop. We will not take or share pictures of children's faces without written consent.
Children Are Welcome
We believe childcare should never be a barrier to learning. Children of all ages are welcome to parent and homeschool-oriented workshops, small groups and family coaching sessions.
For sessions that are not child-oriented and centered, we kindly ask that you bring an alternative quiet activity for them to enjoy. Some activity options will be provided if meeting in-person.
For Educational Purposes Only
The content and strategies provided in our coaching sessions, small groups, and workshops are for educational and informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional therapeutic, medical, academic or legal advice.

How is executive function coaching different from traditional tutoring or therapy?
Executive Function coaching is a practical, skills-based service that focuses on strengthening the core mental processes needed for self-management, such as planning, organization, task initiation, working memory, and self-regulation. We teach clients how to use strategies and tools to effectively manage the demands of school, work, and daily life, leading to greater independence and lifelong success.
It is not focused on the specific academic content or psychological issues or the assessment of psychological diagnoses. However, we complement these other services by giving the client the self-management and executive function skills they need to implement supportive strategies in academic settings or address the needs of individuals with specific diagnosis that impact executive function processing such as ADHD.
Who do you work with? Do they need a diagnosis?
We believe all people or all ages have struggles and strengths in executive function, regardless of specific diagnosis and benefit greatly from having a deeper understanding of how they operate, what supports and systems they need, and how to advocate for themselves.
While many clients have diagnoses like ADHD, our focus is always on the specific skills that need strengthening.
We primarily work with families with children from toddlerhood through high school age, as well as individual students, educators, and professionals.
For younger children (ages 2-8), our focus often deeply involves the parents in the process, as teaching the adult how to structure the environment and guide the child is the most effective approach.
My child is resistant to getting help. How do you handle initial resistance?
We believe resistance often comes from feeling misunderstood. We work hard to establish rapport and use an empathetic, collaborative style in coaching with children and individuals. We begin by sharing stories and explore the experiences across academic, social, and home settings talking through both struggles and strengths. By focusing on the brain skills, we validate the child's experience and depersonalize the source of the struggle - and work to identify how a child's individuals strengths can be utilized as a built-in support. We talk about executive function in the frame of working with our brains and not as a measure of individual potential or capabilities.
Do you accept insurance for private coaching?
We would love to accept insurance but executive function coaching is considered an elective option. While insurance companies do not provide diagnosis or service codes for EF coaching, some clients have explored alternative funding options for our coaching services.
FSA/HSA Option: If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA), you may consider using these funds to cover the cost of coaching services. It's important to note that FSA/HSA providers may have varying requirements and approval processes. We recommend reaching out to your FSA/HSA provider to inquire whether our services qualify as an approved use of these funds.
529 Plan Option: Another potential avenue for financing coaching services is by utilizing 529 Plan college funds. To determine if this is an option for you, please contact your 529 Plan provider for more information.
